01.05.05 VS4 Season Premiere
We are pleased to announce that the Season Premiere of Virtual Dark Angel Season 4 is set to air on February 1, 2005. We have an exciting season planned, and look forward to being able to bring it to you.
Along with the new season, we will also be bringing you a newly redesigned website! Same location, new style. The "old" site will be taken down for conversion to the new design between January 15 and 16. You will not be able to access any of the VS3 files at this time. Also, many link names will be changing, so check your bookmarks, and update as necessary. We hope that the new site will be easier to navigate, and better showcase our works.
12.30.03 VS4 News
VS4 is still seeking writers for the early part of the season. We are really short of writers as a couple of people have had to drop out due to study and other commitments (fanfic is far more important than your future career, lol).
It's not too late if you want to sign up.
Please bear in mind that there is an age restriction, ie, you must be 18 or over, and we prefer experienced writers - whether it be fanfic or professionally. It doesn't have to specifically be DA-related, but that would help.
VS4 is a huge commitment in time and energy, and over an extended period of time. If your schedule is such that you are unlikely to be able to fulfill a lengthy commitment (two-three months), then this is not for you.

12.04.03 VS4 News
VS4 is now well into the planning stages and work on the first episodes should begin soon. The season currently has 15 episodes planned and we have allowed for a looser schedule than for VS3, which was fairly intense for all participants.
The scheduled date for the premier is currently February 10, 2024.
In the interim, we are rerunning your favorite episodes of VS3. Thank you to everyone who participated in the poll. We hope you are enjoying the reruns.

07.31.03 VS4 and other updates
We've heard the big question from many different people... will there be a VS4? We're sure you will be happy to know that the VS3 staff is currently discussing VS4, and we will keep you updated when we have more news. In the meantime...
VS3 is proud to announce the opening of Dark Angel: Virtual Haven, a message board where you can discuss VS3 and keep up to date on the VS4 news. This board is currently under construction, so there may be more changes while everything gets settled.

11.11.02 VS3 Accepting Original VS3 Based Fiction Submissions
As part of our ongoing quest to keep the VS3 site fresh and interesting during weeks when there is no new episode to be posted, (i.e rerun weeks) we have decided to open the site for VS3 based fan fics during those weeks.
We are accepting submissions of short (5,000 words or less), original fan fics and poetry based on events of the re-run episode of the week. The work must deal with events that might have happened "off-screen" during or immediately following or preceding the re-run of the week. Rating must be in keeping with the VS3 rating - no NC17 work will be published.
Examples:
Re-run Week of Episode 3.03 Notta Normal Day
- Fic showing a bit more about how the fugitive transgenics heard about and managed to get to Jam Pony
- Fic
expanding on Normal and his interactions with the fugitives
and/or why he decided to help them (could be some back story about Normal)
Re-Run Week of Episode 3.02 All Good in Tha Hood
- Fic expanding on Max and Logan's dinner date at the end
- Fic about Asha and her response after she leaves Terminal City in Episode 3.02
These are just some examples of what we are looking for. A few other requirements:
- Fics must be beta'd before submission to VS3 - although we'd love to help with the beta work, our beta staff is inundated with the actual VS3 episode betas and simply doesn't have time to take on any more.
- Be sure you reference the episode the fic is tied to - you can submit in advance for future re-runs - we will hold the fic until the appropriate time.
- Fics must not have been previously published on the web - we are looking for new work, never before seen. We have no objection to publication on fanfiction.net or another archive after the fic runs on VS3.
All fics submitted are subject to review and approval of the VS3 staff before being published. We will advise if your work is accepted for publication on VS3.

11.5.02 Re-run Hiatus Begins
Beginning 11.5.02, each of the next 4 weeks will feature an Encore presentation of previously posted episodes starting with Episode 3.01, Labyrinth. New episodes will begin again on 12.3.02.
11.5.02 Archives Open
The Archives section is open and as we re-run episodes they will become part of the archives.
11.5.02 Four language versions of VS3 are now available
Beginning with the Encore of Episode 3.01 we are featuring episodes in four languages in addition to English: French, German, Polish and Spanish.
